i made this one in the winter of last year (november/december), about a university friend who i couldn't really connect with. with everything going on in the world i felt this overwhelming grief, and inevitably i carried that with me wherever i went. and i remember standing there, after a kind of stilted conversation, watching her walk away, and wondering what she felt in her head too. because there was no way she didn't know of everything going on, too. after drawing it i realised that this idea of an unspoken grief was in a lot of my life, haunting a lot of my relationships.
