I'm certainly not the only person with this kind of idea, but here it is: Pokemorphs. Basically Pokemon characters fused with their signature Pokemon (or at least the Pokemon I feel best suits them) Starting with three examples. Unlike my own actual Pokemon OCs, I'm not bothering with the movesets, abilities or any of that right now since Pokemorphs would work differently from regular or even Anthro Pokemon. May add hypothetical movesets, abilities, held item, Tera typing later on. (Zoey would just get Normal as a Tera Type by default since the Glameow line isn't in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet)

Dawn the Empoleon: While outwardly arrogant typical of the Piplup line, Dawn is actually fairly humble, largely thanks to the upbringing of her adoptive Lopunny mother, Johanna in Twinleaf Town. While Dawn does mostly win any form of competitive scenery, she rarely goes to them with the mindset of taking home the prize, she's just happy to take part, making her quite popular with other competitors and the officials. Her favourite sort of competition is Sumo Wrestling, as her physique can tell you, although she also does Pokemon Contest shows. (Yes, her panties are on full display here) Unlike most of the Piplup line, Dawn's not a fussy eater, in fact, this has led to her current physique due to the overeating.
She and her Blaziken girlfriend, May take the phrase "Lovebirds" quite literally, as the muscular Blaziken is the most guilty of pampering Dawn like the Empress Penguin she is.

May the Blaziken: The physical polar opposite of Dawn, May is quite muscular, typical of a Fighting type. Her second time moving to another region (first Johto, then Hoenn and now Sinnoh), May now permanently plants her flag in Sinnoh thanks to Dawn. As the daughter of the Petalburg Gym Leader, Norman, a male Anthro Slaking, May does have some expectations to follow. She may not necessarily have to follow her father's exact career path, but between a Slaking (Yes, I've checked the Egg groups: the Slakoth and Torchic lines are indeed compatible) or a muscular Blaziken that's handled an Empoleon as big, fat and heavy as Dawn, I'd say May could easily handle the job.

Zoey the Purugly: Hailing from Snowpoint City in the Sinnoh region, Zoey, like Dawn, partakes in Pokemon Contest shows. Except Zoey does them full-time, since she was a little Glameow in fact. When she did evolve into a Purugly, sure many of her outfits no longer fit, but her spirit is as thick as her blubber. Currently in a relationship with Barry, a male Torterra hailing from Twinleaf Town. (They may not be compatible in terms of Egg groups, but neither the Torterra nor Purugly would let that minor setback get in the way of a relationship) Most Puruglies try to hide their flabs with their corset tails, but not Zoey. She wears her flab with pride. (In actuality, she's so fat, even the corset tail couldn't properly conceal it)
