My old laptop...
I don't like to get attached to material things, but on this occasion, my Laptop was a gift from my mother in 2010 who passed away in 2019. The Laptop with a Windows 7 system, 4 gigs of ram, DVD player, I could still draw on it with Paint Tool SAI and I took it to my technician very few times, I have seen movies, listened to music and got some tickets to see a soccer game. LOL
It was my work tool all these years and I would really like to be able to recondition it, but the bad thing is that these days have been difficult, I still want to move house with my cats and work has decreased, although I dedicate myself to cleaning houses and taking care of grandparents, which is what I am most passionate about and so keep going!

Te entiendo, tiene historia personal, la mía no tiene historia personal tan profunda y la aprecio bastante (la mía es que fue con la laptop con la que entré de llenó a YouTube y aprendí a hacer muchas cosas), no me imagino lo importante que es para ti, si quieres ayuda para arreglarla o reacondicionarla, puedes mandarme mensaje privado, tengo experiencia en reparación de PC's y laptops y puedo asesorarte si tienes alguna duda.

Holi! Awww gracias por eso.. Fue hace una semana que la conecte y no encendió, olía a tinta caliente , como si algo se hubiera quemado..puede ser la fuente como la mother.. Y ya casi no hay repuestos pero cualquier cosa te contacto jeje muchos me dicen que ya renueve y la deje ir xD pero intentare al menos ver si se puede hacer algo 👌 Muchas gracias ^^
No hay de que! Y rayos, habrá que ver que se quemó, esperemos y no sea algo grave, usualmente las laptops de esos años son bastante modulares y relativamente fáciles y baratas de arreglar, las modernas, madre mía, todo viene soldado, y es una tortura arreglarlas. Y vale, estaré al pendiente 😁
Poor old laptop, I know how it feels to lose a gift for someone that is no longer here. <3
Maybe with something as simple as an SSD card might help to keep it in use? I have a 2013 Thinkpad L420 and buddy is a tank, even if a bit slow by today's standards. With an SSD card it was absolutely saved and works perfectly for away from home work/storage. That's why I suggest one, along checking if you can get some more ram on yours.
At least to keep the storage and use while looking for another laptop. Then its just getting a case for the HD and you would have to keep it as an external drive, but at least you won't lose anything.
That does need someone more knowledgeable on tech tho. 😅
