Amen to this. I love spiders: I welcome them into my house and clear away the webs only when they're obviously deserted. And it's a very true statement that you make, something I've considered for a long time.

I owned a tarantula. I didn't know that they were capable of any sort of emotion until I saw her "playing" with my cats, running up to the edge of the glass to scare them, and then hiding when they got close again. It was adorable.
People are weird. I bet they taste okay, though.

Agreed on the first one, but on the second I've noticed that a lot of people really love moths and would gladly capture them and release them outside while the same people kill spiders on site, even though moths do more damage than spiders...
