This is an idea I have for a fan character for cotl. Basically, it's a what-if scenario where another lamb had actually survived the purges within the Lands Of The Old faith. They did so by disguising themselves and hiding from the influence of the cults. What you see here is the same character. The one on the left is The Black Sheep's disguise. They're referred to as "The Apostate." The Black Sheep/Apostate is VERY much anti-cult, despising their influence on the creatures in The Lands Of The Old Faith.

This includes The Cult Of The Lamb.

Sometime after The Lamb purges the different dungeons and recruits the bishops, The Black Sheep (while disguised as The Apostate,) starts rescuing would-be sacrifices from the remains of The Old Faith cults. The Lamb catches wind of their actions, and grows interested in The Apostate. The Lamb tries to lure them in with gifts and the usual love-bombing tactics of most cults, but The Apostate is stubborn and refuses to join The Lamb's flock. This leads to a sort of rivalry between the two, with neither wanting to submit to the other's ideology. During the rivalry, they play a sort of "game." The Apostate and The Lamb try to rescue as many creatures as possible, in an attempt to out-do the other.

As they play this game, The Apostate slowly realizes they may have... feelings, for The Lamb. All this culminates into a battle against the Old Faith cultists, with The Lamb and The Apostate working together to defeat the enemy. During the fight, The Apostate is knocked unconscious, and after that, The Lamb finally discovers their true identity: The Black Sheep. The Black Sheep is taken back to The Lamb's base, and the two start to form something of an actual relationship, bonding over the fact that they're the last two of their kind. Perhaps, they could even repopulate...
