Character

Xandinho - or Xandi for short - was born in Atlantis. Having a Brazillian mother and an Atlantean father, he's a child of two worlds. However, he has spent little time in Brazil all his life, growing up on Atlantis within the Tripod tribe, a group of people who all had three legs just like him. On the island, he learned the first lessons in martial arts from the warriors of his tribe, and has had a continued interest in it. He always looked up to these warriors and wanted to become one of them when he grew up. He'd become far more than that...

When he has old enough to leave the islands, he went to travel around the world. Not that many young Atlanteans who were not scolars had left the hidden archipeligo at that time. Xandi, however, now with a Portuguese passport on him, was looking for new martial arts styles to master. He had trained under many masters around the world, and even with his third leg (which he waved off being a "magical mutation") he managed to adapt to these new styles of fighting. He also took trainings with firearms, and trained up to become a sharp shooter as well. This turned out an instrumental skill to have during the fallout of the Wellspring War, where he was in a special unit tracking down and neutralise the people responsible for willingly causing the worldwide calamity. Nonetheless, deep in his heart, Atlantis was still with him. He was proud of being one of its privileged citizens who had kept their society at the peak of civilasation for centuries, a society he hoped one day all of the Earth would strive to become. He has a tattoo of Atlantis' emblem on his right shoulder as a marker of his nation's pride.

After the reveal of Atlantis to the world after First Contact, Xandi would wear his Atlantean heritage on his sleeve, quite literally even. The Terran Fleet saw him as a great military asset, given his service record. He was stationed on the Pioneer, where he would lead the security team along side with Louis Kalasha. Louis was the first opponent in a while that was able to best him in a duel. The two have great respect for each other. Xandi is not a man of many words, and he's far from a scientist; all these numbers and scientific concepts are just hard to grasp for him. He disciplined in his training, always putting in a lot of effort staying in shape. He is a very strict leader, who does not allow for his recruits to slack off, sometimes to the detriment of his reputation.

I love how badass Xandi turned out in this drawing! Louis can't man his post as Chief Security 24/7, so here we have this chad who fills in for him on alternating shifts. And you really don't want to mess with this guy!
