Wow this looks great Kri, especially the muzzle (to answer your question, from this picture the muzzle doesn't look too big). I've been tinkering with doing my own and I know it's been a challenge, so I can appreciate the amount of work this took. I like what you've done with the head structure, it appears simple but it looks effective. Looking forward to seeing this when it's complete :D
I don't have any progress pics simply because my tinkering process makes it look rather pathetic lol. I am going with a foam-base, but I initially started making it without a balaclava though I'm considering changing that. Mostly because it seems like you can use less foam with that method, so it would be lighter which would be nice. I've been considering throwing a picture up here but I'm a tad shy about it.
Balaclava is less bulky, and has the added bonus of being form-fitting and sweat-wicking. Of course, that's the only method I've tried, so I'm biased :p
Put up a pic, or maybe put one on the fursuit livejournal group and ask for suggestions. They're super friendly, and redlines are great for helping to see where you could go next, or how other people see where you're going.
