This dou is Fenri the zorua and Azzi the honedge, partners in adventure!
Some time back an accident caused Fenri to pick up Azzi by the handle, the sword reflexively wrapping his ribbon around the zorua's arm. This leeched Fenri of his soul, which to this day is still held within Azzi's form. In exchange for taking Azzi to see the world, Fenri is able to sorta have his soul back. Because the honedge is incapable of giving the zorua his soul back however, they have to stick together. If they're separated, Fenri will grow weaker and eventually fall into a coma. On the bright side however, if Fenri is ever injured to the point of death Azzi is able to reform his body!
