I do find the lack of tails a bit odd, although it was probably an animation compromise.

lol the animation was jank as hell already, I don't think they could handle tails.
But I actually thought the same thing while sketching. If there was ever a reboot added tails would look cool as hell.

The fanart is better than the show. Character models had to look like the toys, which held it back.
