A great reminder why CSS logistics requires proper handling and administration and you should never leave hungry Lupins to deal with supplies… Especially the food supplies -_-

The CSS reaffirms that handling of logistic as the most important aspect to its existence and operations.
Some planets are self – sustaining, other have some facility but as to be expected some planets have zero ways of producing and thus mandating consistent, quality and diverse shipments of supplies to feed their populations.
This makes logistic the most comprehensive organisation nearly as big as the CSS’s military and recruiting staff at a proportionate rate of the military. It should however be noted that the cross over between logistical staffing and military staffing show plenty of crossover.
Though there is a clear distinction between Confederate Military and Confederate Civil Logistical Division.
This is not to say Civilian Logistic is any better. You will be as regiment as a army group and just as liable to Commissar inspections.
Though many Civil Merchant “sailors” would say their uniforms are much better and given the CSS’s general lack (general not zero) of piracy and bandits the job is much safer… Least not counting for the industrial and space related dangers.

An accurate assessment ;)
Lupin generally take a average caloric intake equivalent to three / four people.
(With small varations based on specific species)
It is always a pain for the CSS forces.
Me and Mort always joked something like 1% to 2% of the CSS's total economic expenses is purely supplying lupins XD

Knowing CSS bureaucracy if the wolf dosen't get caught, the base officer will pass the blame to the logistics officer who will pass the blame to the cargo crew, who will pass the issue to the factory, which will send the issue back to logistics for the initial supply request who will...
(This will then get lost somewhere between logistics and cargo)
If the wolf does get caught she'll be stuck in a four hour lecture repeated across several days

Post collapse Lupins lost access to their old currency and thus they began to re - mint currency from local ores (Gold / Silver / bronze)
Though this only accounts for Plains and Timbers.
Arctics have their own local economcis based on gems and ivory.
In turn Lupins can have quite the "boost" in exchange rates when they take their local money and try using it within CSS / FFP economics.
