Two hours for this. I suppose this would be some sort of full-body flat style, but unless people really like it (which I doubt), it probably wont be a part of "digital blitzweek"... maybe a 'cartoony flat' (like serendipity), bu I'm not really diggin' this. Maybe 'cause it's a scared naked fox lady hiding in the woods, when I'm much more comfortable with friendly scenes or something?
Anyway, In really enjoying Sai at least.
EDIT: MAN, you guys, I'm really sorry about this one in retrospect (a few hours retrospect). looking at it again, you can totally tell that I spent the least time on her face! D:>

Don't worry, man, you'll get faster as you become more accustomed to the to programs.
Oh, and here's a really cool trick for SAI:
You can click the preserve opacity box for a layer, and it makes it so that anything that is "blank" or empty can't be colored in. This not only makes shading easier once you have flats done, it makes it a lot easier to recolor your line art.
On another SAI related note, I'm just curious, but do you use the vector "line art" layers? I know how you hate(d?) illustrator, which is also in vector.

I don't use vectors at all, I just . . paint the flat colors using 'marker', and then use 'water' to smear it around where the shadows are soft. Yeah, I hated illustrator, and I know this style looks very similar to what people do with illustrator, but it's sooo much easier to just draw.
Oh, I hate vector layers in SAI, I can't use them for crap, I prefer the better handling of just using a brush. But in Illustrator, for more "graphic design" type work, I find vector pretty awesome, but when doing that, I'm not really free hand drawing like I do with more traditional works.
