Considering what's about to happen to Lyso, when I saw the finished version of this I just about died laughing. While Sylia is an apex predator, she also would rather eat her own tailflukes than hurt an intelligent being like Lyso. She'll be shortly offering him a ride to his destination, courtesy of said tailflukes. 🧡🖤😊
The flukes actually are a lot more stable, and since they're mostly flat no worries about sliding off. (With planning, she'd have a rope around her rudder to hang on to). She'd just relax her tail, and her flukes would float passenger and all. If things got REALLY rough, she has an emergency procedure, but you aren't gonna like it...
For propulsion she'd just switch to kicking, the second fastest way she has of swimming, On her head would be s-l-o-w.
