Cari in a tight situation - Gift art for Cariboozer
I saw Cariboozer's OC, Cari, on X/Twitter and thought they looked super cool (yellow and blue is always an awesome colour scheme). I got a hit of inspiration and had to draw them in all their stretchy, gooey-ness. They are also one of the first accounts to follow my work, and I really appreciate their support as I start this whole drawing thang.
This was another fun challenge for me, as it was one of the first times I've drawn a male body type. I also really tried a different perspective with this illustration, but I think it still ended up in 3/4. It's such a hard habit to kick.
The perspective tool on my drawing app was also really cool. It helped me draw the background, and make it feel like Cari is a part of the scenery. I'm not sure if I visually communicated the idea that the ceiling was coming down - it's hard to do without motion lines and onomatopoeia - which is something I struggle with.
I always say this, but I'm really happy with how this turned out. Compared to my previous slime drawing, the lighting in this really added something. The slime/goo effect was also much improved. The ripple effect is really neat - it really adds great viscosity and presence to the slime.
