Now that we've seen some of the other Vossen and Lipane species it's time to compare the plains Volfen and the wildkin Volfen, Accalia and Yenene's people. Though Accalia is actually more of a city Volfen, a more common sight these days, she actually comes from the distant plains and one of the less nomadic packs that are on the rise and prefer to settle more permanently and grow some of their food rather than hunt or forage for it as they roam.
Wildkin on the other hand live in the more barren grasslands and in the forests and live a more primitive life in smaller packs, hunting for their food without weapons or tools unless times are hard. Wildkin tend to live in huts or any cave entrance they find suitable to live in or use for storage, and since they are a small pack most of them will go out on the hunt with one or two females staying behind to watch the young, something Yenene seems to have experience with despite being an alpha who never take that jobs usually. So perhaps her pack was so small she needed to stay behind to both watch and protect the pups on her own. Unlike their kin from the plains wildkin avoid any human contact and if one would wander too close to the den they're likely to be driven off or killed on sight, so in that regard the wildkin are probably more dangerous. Though Yenene was different in that regard and more curious about humans for which reason she was driven out of her pack and living alone for some time untill she met Lionel.
Physical appearances are rather obvious between the two as the wildkin are as little smaller and not quite as strong as the plains Volfen, and while the plains Volfen come in many different colors the wildkin are pretty much always brown of fur color, though the occasional darker color can show up. They are also slightly leaner allowing them to run faster and longer but still strong enough to tackle and kill medium sized prey with their bare hands and fangs. It is not known if the wildkin Volfen have their own religeon, aside from shamanism, but they do seem to have more of a habit of howling at the sky, and particularly the full moon so perhaps they worship at least one of the twin goddesses.
It was assumed for a time that the wildkin might have been another type of Vossen or perhaps a half breed but no evidence has been found to support this theory, and since they tend not to interact with eachother often it does not seem very likely that the two would ever cross breed or if they even could if they wanted to. It is certain that like with many beast folk they cannot breed with humans, with the exception of during a moon aye when the Goddess can grant such blessings to those deemed worthy of her gift. Even if a wildkin and human would breed with eachother the the resulting child is normally the species of the mother with a few traits from the father such as eye color or hair color, though this is extremely rare as the blessing can only be given during the moon's eye and the fact that typically wildkin Volfen do not get along with humans much for such a union to happen (willingly) in the first place.
