I like lots of different genres but it's very rare that I get a specific feeling no other genres let me feel. It's a mix of melancholic, nostalgic and somehow also a little scary/unsettling/strange, hard to discribe, but I had this feeling a lot as a child and still as an adult. That there is this big scary world you don't know much about and you know deep down you don't really belong in, but it's that kind of strange feeling that makes you enjoy it because it's also exciting and once in a while, you can find comfort despite all the strangeness you feel.

Some of the genres that can trigger that feeling for me are certain kinds of Synthpop like Iris, sometimes Trance, and others. Maybe because my parents listened to such stuff a lot when I was a child, especially in the car when we all went somewhere.

Long story short, music is powerful and helps me a lot regulating my thoughts and feelings, also to motivate and inspire me.
