I've read and seen a lot involving SpongeBob and Pearl's dynamic, and it feels like it could have so much potential if Pearl was also a full-fledged adult or at least close to SpongeBob's age (In my mind, they're only 3-4 years apart), especially between SpongeBob trying to get on her good side despite seeing him as a loser or facing the overprotective father that is Mr. Krabs (See the prom episode or that Valentine picture book).

I am trying to imagine a timeline where SpongeBob marries Pearl in the future and Mr Krabs is his father-in-law. It would be fun to see him call his cheapskate boss he's been working for a long time "dad" while Mr Krabs is still the same annoying overprotective dad.
