Written for B-flat trumpet, piano, and acoustic bass, this is my simplified arrangement of another TV game show theme; this time, the show is "Debt," a Lifetime original game show that ran for two seasons, hosted by the legendary Wink Martindale. It was Wink's last game show until he briefly came out of retirement in 2010 to host the Game Show Network original host "Instant Recall," GSN's attempt at a hidden camera show. (That didn't last beyond the one season, but it was nice to see the Winker back in the spotlight.)

On "Debt," 3 players that owed debt for various reasons, which usually totaled anywhere between $6,000 and $10,000, competed to have the show pay it all off so that they could go home with nothing, a fact Wink excitedly boasted about in the intro. If the ultimate winner conquered both parts of the bonus round successfully, provided they were willing to take the gamble, they not only got the debt paid off, but won the matching amount in cash for themselves.
