The excuses they give dont hold up. At least america has Law and Order and Burn Notice. Over here we have TV Burp and Top Gear, other then that, it's all crap. It's telling more people I know watch Nostalgia Critic rather then any 'real' TV show.

A friend of mine appeared on TV a while ago. He was hyper about it, but who is left watching? Only people I know who watched it did so because their friend was on it.

I've haven't had any channels on my TV for almost 3 years, and I don't miss it a second :) I use my big TV for movieees~<3

I don't watch that shit. At the most I sometimes turn the TV on to just hear the noise. I check out documentaries or travel shows like Anthony Bourdain or Samantha Brown to see some interesting stuff about other countries and good places to check the food out etc.

don't worry, its all the same here in europe! the germans have a very special name for that kind of TV-shows ----> Unterschichten-TV (literally it means social underclass TV) i like that technical term as it describes most accurately what audience is aimed

in uk they fixed that you dont ned to do that they have a show as they do that for you, cooking , carpentering, gardening, sewing, farming, renovate a apartment, and birdwatching

Cooking shows are one of my refuges from reality shows. Unfortunately even the cooking channel has more and more reality shows. 8/

I've reverted to watching the original star trek series. Mainstream TV is worthless save for a few shows... DVR or torrent anything worth watching so I don't have to suffer the advertising.

I think it's amusing that we're living in a time when some people sit around watching "reality" TV, while some people go around as animal characters in real life. Interesting times.

*shrugs* have to agree with you there. frankly, our TV is just there for videogames and movies: news and "constant feed visual entertainment" can all be found on the internet... and is usually more intelligent. Not to mention the fact that you have to have (a fraction) more intelligence to find and view internet entertainment, and there you go. I dunno if "TV" is a dying creature, per say, but its certainly showing its age.
