Corrupted Files Archive: Sine Nomine
Alright just for pretense, Corrupted Files Archive is kinda dead. I'm still gonna do renders, but the CFA thing with the whole shop won't be done unless it's something new.

We found some alternate universes in the back. Something you might wanna consider. This one is for Erin Hunter's Warriors series.
So, for names... That's where some of the complications started kicking in. You see, this is a collective hive-mind consisting of... I dunno... 12-18 different minds. Eventually they kinda settled on "Sine Nomine", or just "Sinome" (pronounced "sin-know-me") for short. They know it sounds like a twoleg-made name and they're cool with it.
What happened here? Well...
In this version of the world, deceased spirits either get reborn into a new cat after a while or retreat into a final resting place, a merged world where all spirits can finally have peace. When entered, a soul who has reincarnated splits up into all of their various incarnations, so there is little "awkwardness" when everyone meets up.
Enter Bristlefrost, a young ThunderClan warrior reincarnated from Spottedleaf, whose soul had died years protecting her family when Hell rose from the depths. A strict believer of the code she lived by, Bristlefrost was easy to manipulate by Ashfur, a spirit who possessed the corpse of ThunderClan's leader (Brambleflower/star) after seeing both Spottedleaf and Cinderpelt do something similar.
Things happened, and Bristlefrost flung herself at Ashfur to protect her friends (or perhaps even who she considered a family), throwing the both of them into the dark rivers of the Place of No Stars, dragging him deeper and deeper in the void to keep both of them from ever getting up.
It was due time for her soul to reincarnate, but her family was devastated. In a moment of desperation and grief, they ventured and met up with a wise old badger who helped the Clans many times in the past. They begged for a way to bring their dear Bristlefrost back, despite all the warnings.
...This was the result. A mess of cats, minds sharing a body unable to move on and struggling to walk. The groans of pain she exudes hallows through the forest, serving as a warning to all who defy the natural order. This grief has done nothing but hurt, even the one who was grieved.
Of course, Ivypool and Fernsong don't have the heart to kill their daughter again. Rootspring doesn't have the heart to kill his love again. No one has the heart to kill a hero and a friend. Why would you? Even if she's in pain, it's her, right? Even if there are many minds trapped with her begging for this body and their soul-matter to be reborn, Bristlefrost is still in there, right?
But maybe she'll sacrifice themselves for the good of everyone before they need to. Just the thought, and I can't stop pondering.
Anyway yeah she does that and she becomes Moonpaw. Mostly everyone is finally able to rest but the events that caused all this has led to Spottedleaf just up and disappearing to somewhere. No one else knows where she went off to but it's probably nowhere important.
As for Bristlefrost? She's waiting. Even if it takes an eternity, even if it takes the complete downfall of cat-kind as anyone knows it, she'll be waiting on the other side.
Sinome is a feral cat with various parts crudely stitched together. She takes elements from her two most recent iterations (Spottedleaf and Bristlefrost) and what she's supposed to reincarnate as (Moonpaw). Bristlefrost is mostly a light gray, Spottedleaf is a ginger and brown tortoiseshell, and Moonpaw is a ginger and black chimera.
Sinome's entire face has been gutted, and in the seams of her stitching, the "water" from the Dark Forest oozes out. Her body reeks of rot, and it is, in fact, decomposing.
The soul matter that makes up Sinome has been reincarnated again and again but hasn't really changed much. Each iteration is a stereotypically nice helper willing to help however she can. There is variation, but they all kind of just meld together into inoffensively "nice".
Each mind talks on their own in a weird whisper, which is useful as they don't have a mouth. Of them, Bristlefrost and maybe Spottedleaf are the only notable ones anyone can recognize. Bristlefrost is mostly trying to be reassuring for her family while struggling to hide her pain. Spottedleaf is gentle but likes meeting her kin.
The minds don't really argue. It's just that their body is so deeply unsuitable and rotting that it has a hard time being moved.
Sinome is somewhat more intelligent than average on account of having a bunch of different minds in there, but because of how utterly broken she is, it's hard for them to properly execute any substantial knowledge of fighting or medicine.
She's kind of in a permanent state of pain right now. Trying to bring back someone who should've died does that.
If I alternate between "she/her" and "they/them", so do she. Like, every single cat here is a girl so they're cool with either.
I don't think they need to eat or drink. Their organs are non-existent and they just live on soul juice alone.
The Spottedleaf and Bristlefrost (and technically Moonpaw) who make up this fusion are somewhat altered from their original counterparts. I feel like someone else is better fit for the task of explaining how, though.
So yeah. Crazy how we found this story before Ivypool's Heart came out. Gonna start mass producing it at some point. We got to work on making a replica for her also, in case you wish to rent one out and give snuggles to these chronically ill Pet Sematary knock-offs.
Poor Bristlefrost fell in the black river
Her family couldn't let go of her ghost
They pleaded with this world's higher life-giver
What they got instead was a drowning host
