Which... uh... granted I'm not cognizant of where MODERN leather comes from but y'know... XD

In my Bio-Punk universe, Most leather still comes from Cattle. But it is mainly grown in factories, cruelty-free and with the most favorable genes possible, most organic ways of raising Cattle for products have largely diminished.

I am, alongside others, were all normal humans once in our lives, but the advent of genetic engineering and modification has advanced in great strides to become a fine tuned, relatively affordable consumer technology and has revolutionized medicine, culture, politics; almost every facet of society and civilization to a very radical degree.

Many people have the option to change their bodies and appearance from outwardly negligible to an extreme degree for reasons ranging from pragmatic to cosmetic. To look like me, it takes many months of conditioning.

Despite the majority of people having had exposure to this technology in some way for health benefits and for the removal of undesirable defects; Nearly ~70% of humans have had some sort of procedure to modify their bodies in various ways, the majority of the population still retain appearances of a human but others had gone to larger lengths to look like all sorts of things.

You, I and alongside a few hundred thousand people in the world have gone to extreme lengths to take on the appearance of various popular species of wildlife.

Just always found it a smidge odd that 'bovinemoorphs use leather which come from...' but nowhere near as them eating beef lol XD
