The two were talking again, after a few minutes, but silence fell over Mira again as they came to a massive gate with sparkling runes. She could barely see the top of this gate, not even the walls that the gate was built into was as tall, but something about the crystal prisms at the top of them gave this feeling that it'd be impossible to climb over. Mira stared at it for a while, but Artison walked to the gate with a smile on his face and stood before the lock. Nothing happened at first, but Artison leaned closer to the lock, and all to all the jewels around the keyhole.
Artison suddenly smirked, "Hey, I know you're there. I'd like entrance for the afternoon, nothing wrong with an old student doing so, ey?"
Suddenly the largest gems on the gate fell darker. Their color remained but it was like what light shined on them had faded. Clanking was heard as the gate groaned, then it started to part open. As the gate opened, what laid beyond it became clear as the morning sun. A large garden with flowers and plants of all sorts that were settled in beds of dirt and held on marble and steel. Mira's eyes widened at the garden students were walking through and even ran past Artison to get a better look at the raised flower beds. She smiled and sniffed a few, taking in their sweet scents. Artison only watched from afar, smiling as he came in behind her.
"Enjoying the plants, Miss Mira?" Artison asked as he walked up beside her and leaned closer, "Mira?"
Mira giggled as she pulled her face out of a flower she was sniffing, "These should be on every building around here."
"T’would make the city more colorful." Agreed Artison, "Though you would have to take it up with those who own the spires."
"Well, if not up here, then why not on the ground," Mira said, "The spires have to be standing on something solid, right?"
Artison turned silent at that, and looked away, "H-how about we go inside for a bit, Sh-show you more of the place."
Mira tilted her head, following him, but silent over his shift in topic. She looked to other people to see if they acted the same way. They were not looking away from them, in fact, they were all staring at Artison as they walked toward the main building.
