"Make it so..." Dan said to his reflection, giving his best Patrick Stewart impression. He made a face, then shook his head. "Nah, don't think I'm convincing enough."
"Has nothing to do with convincing," Toccata shouted from beyond the bathroom door. "It's all about having fun."
"I should have gone with a science officer uniform, like you did."
"No, red's definitely your colour."
"...That would take on a different meaning if we were dressing for The Original Series."
"I'd make sure you made it to the end of the episode! Now we'd better get a move on before the line for the photo booth gets too long."
Dan swung the bathroom door open, exiting to the main part of their hotel room. "Stand aside! I take large steps."
The Aussie giggled. "You look perfect!"
"You think so? I've never done sci-fi cosplay before."
"You're kidding! I thought you and Krista dressed up a lot."
"Yeah, but that was mostly period dress. She loves Regency fashion." The tomcat's eyes roamed his girlfriend's body. "Damn, you look pretty good yourself!"
"Thanks!" She twirled, showing off every angle of herself.
"That skant uniform is perfect on you."
"You should have worn one too - men wore it in the show."
"I don't have the legs for it."
