Billie grew up in a tiny backwoods town where nothing much ever seems to happen, and many young folk seem to flee the boredom of the quiet mountain life, balanced only by some folk moving there just to get away from big city life preventing the town having become a ghost town by now. Fitting in was difficult enough for Billie as there were few kids her own age so friends were in short supply if she even had the time to hang out since she was often stuck helping her parents at the only convenience store in town, the almost literal lifeline for the town since the mall that was built decades ago had long since been closed down and left abandoned. The abandoned mall has since become a popular hangout spot for the youth at all hours of the day and night, and it was there that Billie first got into arts to express herself, first with graffiti and then later with tramp art and conceptual art after she returned hom from college. Although her art went mostly as unnoticed as herself as most kids just avoided her as they always had because they thought she was just weird, partly because of her strange obsession with goats even going as far as wearign goat lenses. She was never really bullied but treated more with a cold indifference which made her think she would have preferred to have been bullied instead to make more sense of it all.

What few friends she did have she lost contact with when they left for collage as well and some simply never returned to the town, moving instead to a larger town on the other side of the mountains, and her relationship with her parents was similarly odd, not that they didn't love her but they were kind of distant in a way as lot of the townspeople were. Things changed a little when she would sneak some alcohol from the store to bring to the nightly hangout at the old mall, but it turned out they only really talked to her because she brought the booze but she let it slide for a time just enjoying the attention even if it was the wrong kind, untill one night she got so drunk she voiced her real feelings about people in a drunken rant which got people to once again give her the cold shoulder. Since then she focussed more and more on her art as a form of escape,displaying it in the abandoned mall in secret and then watching the town rumor mill go wild with crazy stories which gave her some sense of satisfaction being the unknown center of attention for a change. Though as rumor spread outside the town some tourists and urban explorers would flock to the old mall to see the strange sculptures for themselves, amongst them was Rowan who happens to be the owner of a borderline illegal dance hall who was interested in finding the artist responsible to decorate her venue. Though Billie had kept her head down during the whole thing, Rowan did manage to sniff her out somehow and managed to persuade her to create some decor, although it probably helped a lot that Rowan happens to be a goat to convince Billie to work for her.

Since then Billie has painstackingly built the bar and wall decorations and displayed some of her previously unknown work there as well. Though with the customers don't realiseis that they are as much part of of the exhibition for Billie who quietly obsevres them and listens to the conversations among the crowd about her work, still an unknown nobody and celebrity at the same time, which gives her a strange sense of joy of what she imagined feeling loved is like at least untill she got into an open relationship with Rowan and one of her old friends who would visit the party event, driving the long distance from to old town just to hang out with their old friend.
