Daikuni Yadamada Toshiyuki, a kitsune shrine guardian that's not too too smart he travels around his shrine and offers protective blessings to those in need. He's also not very smart, but the wisp helps that weakness.

The book he has with him is a mystical artifact that allows him to cast many spells and even transform into various things at the books choosing. Daikuni does not get a say in when or what the book choose too transform him. But it is said that the transformation is supposed to help him in a situation the book knows will transpire. That or the book just does it for fun, Daikuni is not really sure at times.

That aside if you find your way in Daikuni's shrine he will be happy to help you out as much as he can. He may not be able to leave his shrine, but the shrine is able to transport itself into many places.
