Not only was the M14 used by the Brigadiers during its years of combat during the Anthro Revolution Era, it was used by the ADA and the Black Ops Chronicles. The M14 is an American battle rifle carrying 7.62x51 mm NATO cartridges in a 20-round box magazine. Having been in service from 1957 to 1964 as the service rifle for the US Armed Forces, but is continuously in service for ceremonial purposes, the M14 was reissued as a service rifle for the Brigadiers of Liberty and Unity as they were barred by the ADA from using the Mk-14 Enhanced Battle Rifle.

The Black Ops Chronicles is an elite private military company that was founded in 1997 during the Fallout Crisis in France, and established in 2003 during the Siege of Manhattan. It was established to be an anonymous organization of battle-hardened veterans and soldiers who were wronged or mistreated by the Anthro Detention Agency and sought to bring an end to their tyrannical occupation over the United States through more illicit means. Instead of it being a group for vigilantes and rebels, it was built to be a group for mercenaries or former-BLU members who decided to go under the radar while also following the Brigadiers' Code of Honor. They became the second active allied faction to assist the Anthro Rights Coalition become a superpower and the first to fight the ADA head-on.
