This is a sketch of Unktehila (Iksar of Norrath) in an action pose, part of a sketch/coloring commission from eqqus. Iksars swim, crawl, and even run well on all 4s, not at all awkwardly.
They have a rather sinuous, reptilian grace, slithering rapidly across ground and even up walls - if their claws can catch the surfaces well enough. Iksars may well have been the inspiration for humanoid races to attempt feats they call parkour. It's quite natural to see them scale obstacles that ordinarily seem impassable.
