Love STALKER, I get so lost in the GAMMA modpack

I'm intimidated by GAMMA from what I've been told but I want to try it

It does have a learning curve but also lots of difficulty adjustments. If you don't mind a bit of a grind, I highly recommend it!

Welcome to the STALKER club, been in it since October 07, it's a fantastic series that unfortunately the first games are showing their age for sure, but are still a blast to play. The developers absolutely nailed the atmospheres, especially in the underground and interior areas. They feel oppressive, introduce an uneasy feeling when moving through and the dynamic lighting really shines. CoP was the best overall from a technical and graphical standpoint, but I've loved the mods that have come out over the years from the STALKER Complete mods to Misery, and most recently Gamma.

Gamma is a punishing experience that's more for experienced players that want a significant challenge. I would only recommend it and most other mods after playing through the series as a whole.

I absolutely loved STALKER! I recommend the "STALKER COMPLETE" mod after you finish the vanilla playthrough, it fixes a ton of glitches and the sfx are amazing!

Nice to see people are still getting into these games, even after 17 years! They're Janky as hell, but I love them to bits. Incredibly atmospheric, and it's very satisfying building yourself up with better and better weapons/armor/artifacts. Are you looking forward to STALKER 2? I know I am! :)
