When I first saw the trailer of Animal Well, I found the animals inside it is fit to take part in fetish stories. It's a really short novel I left at the end of this summer vacation.

From the moment he was born, the bud knew he was tasked with reigniting the torch. It's not easy to explore in this dark place full of huge wildlife, hostile animals, spikes, and risks of falling into the water... Deadly threats are everywhere. The bud had been scared and had survived. Not only that, he has managed to recover three torches and more than 50 eggs, leaving only the area protected by the giant chameleon to be explored. The bud gathered his courage and walked through a series of complicated puzzles until he reached the giant chameleon. Defeat he, and he'll get the final torch.
On closer inspection, the chameleon is bigger than expected. To the bud, most of the creatures in the well were huge beasts several times his size, but the chameleon before him was exceptionally large. he was lying on his stomach, already four or five times the height of the bud, and his huge body was illuminated by red light. His scarlet eyelids were wrinkled, and his eyes reflected red light, making he look morbid. The sight of the chameleon made the bud quiver, but there was no turning back now.
The moment the bud saw the chameleon, the chameleon saw him too. His eyes were fixed on the bud with pure and cruel hunger. No matter how long he took, the bud still couldn't get used to the look that animals gave him when they thought he's food. with a loud cry, the chameleon struck the ground with his webbed claws, making the earth tremble. his mouth was slightly open, and the bud could glimpse his bright red tongue, with saliva gleaming.
In the shock, the bud lost his footing for a moment and fell down. Intended to deliver a fatal blow to the chameleon, he went straight for him, but loses his balance and rolls toward the giant predator, under the chameleon's claws.
The chameleon was surprised to see the bud roll under his feet. He didn't think these little foods were highly intelligent, but he didn't expect them to come to him on their own. He pressed down on the bud with his paw, hard enough, but not enough to crush the bud directly -- the flattened plant would bleed juice and stick to the dirt, making him taste muddy.
At the same time, the bud felt great pressure on the extension. He thought he was going to burst, but he found out that he was still alive. The soles of chameleons' feet were wet and dirty. The sour slime sticks to him and stinks, making it a place no dignified creature should be. The skin on the bottom of the chameleon's feet was old and stiff and wrinkled, like cracked dry earth, except that the cracks hide not dry soil, but sticky and disgusting dirt. Noticing that the chameleon's mucus was gradually clinging to him, the bud felt his body defaced. The sticky liquid leaves a lingering sticky feeling, and it's hard to tell which is more uncomfortable than the mucus or the pressure.
Holding food in his hands feels good, but eating them would be even better. The chameleon held the bud and putted he in his mouth. Then the bud realized what danger he was in - if he was eaten alive, he would be finished. He struggled to escape, but the chameleon's grip was so tight. He tremored with fear, crying in despair. His tears streaming down his tiny body, and the giant predator did not notice the fear of the food in his hands. He does not care, anyway. He did not even care whether the bud was alive or not. Food is good as long as it is edible and non-toxic, and if it tastes good, that would be even better. From the chameleon's experience, the bud of a plant was always tender and juicy, which made him look forward to the moment it was put in his mouth all the more.
He lifted his paw, stretched out his tongue, and the long tongue floated down in a clear parabola. It fell on his paw, striking the bud with accuracy. When aiming at stationary prey, the heart of the chameleon tongue never drifts. the bud was hit by a cold, wet tongue, stained with slimy saliva, and easily grasped his tiny body. he was gripped and could only struggled in vain. The fact that the tongue of a poikilotherm could capture him as easily as he would capture a tiny, insignificant worm made the bud despair. He wished he had a different fate from those worms, but he noticed that this most basic and fervent desire to live seemed unrealistic.
When the chameleon pulled his elastic tongue back into his mouth, the bud was carried from one hell into another, more terrible one. the chameleon's mouth was large, but so was his tongue, and the bud felt his surroundings tighten. He looked out from inside the Chameleon's mouth and saw the gray walls of the Chameleon’s room, which had a similar finish style to most of the entire animal well, with worn black walls attached to free-growing vines. the bud felt nostalgic for a world that was once disturbing, and he knew he would never get back there alive. The chameleon's mouth opened and closed, plunging the bud's tiny world into darkness for a few moments, but darkness had long ceased to matter. Even without losing sight, the bud couldn't fight against the chameleon's tongue. He had lost control of his body and was really reduced to a piece of food.
And then something terrible happened. Like all the other food that enters the mouth of the Chameleon, he was sent down to his throat, where he was carried down by the force of the throat muscles. It was neither warm nor dry here. Although there was dark, the bud could faintly see the pale walls of the digestive tract all around him. He fell into a small chamber, which was the chameleon's digestive pouch. At the moment of entry, the entrance was closed, trapping the bud inside. Then, the walls become more moist, secreting a thick digestive fluid that gradually fills the digestive pouch. The bud himself did not need to breathe and did not suffer from hypoxia, but his cells swell under water, which was just as deadly under natural conditions.
He floated in the liquid, his body writhing out of his own control, and his heart filled with despair. The bud's head was getting dizzy, and he had gradually lost his grip on the real world. he knew that the acid was eating away at his skin, and he could feel his body fading away, but he didn't feel pain. There was just an itch where the digestive juices were soaking all over his body. The bud's consciousness dissipates, but somehow he didn't feel like he was disappearing from the world - he knew that he was being controlled by nature's laws, being eaten up by natural predators, becoming his nourishment and a part of him. This thought made the bud feel peaceful until he completely lost the ability to think.
The chameleon felt a puff of air in his stomach, but it was not big enough to even make a burp. He looked round with his wooden eyes, thinking about his next move. he had just finished eating a bud of a plant, which was delicious, but not very filling. His attention was soon focused on finding his next prey, and the little creature he had eaten alive disappeared completely from his mind.
