AHA! WHO is "Dis"? Dis is the lord of the underworld a.k.a. Hell in Inferno by Aligheri! He lies at the last circle of hell where his lower half is frozen into the ground. He struggles to break free and flaps his wings in grief but to no avail. The wind from these wings creates such a chill that it freezes and encases those unlucky enought to be in this circle in ice. So basically, he's the devil.
