His bellybutton actually leads to his stomach, which happens to have a slime living in it. Him and the slime are sort of in a symbiotic relationship, and he can kinda use it as an appendage to do stuff like eat via his navel, since eating normally is a bit difficult for him due to his neck being massive, and made mostly out of fat.
