More art in one day? I'm spoilin' y'all. This time for
munks and
ereki. I wanted to take part in their little story, so I made up a mock up of a visual novel scene of Geoff's first... and probably most embarrassing encounter with the two.
Story here:
"Hey, so what's your name?" Ereki asked.
"Huh?" Geoff replied.
"Well if you're gonna compete, we should at least know your name." he continued.
"Why would you want to know my name?" Geoff asked, raising an eyebrow.
"That way we can send you flowers while you're recovering in the hospital when you lose." replied Munks, bluntly.
Geoff gave an indignant snort. He may have just arrived to the island, but he's not one to back down from a challenge. But the way he was being treated, it made him feel like he was in over his head.
"Well...." Geoff continued "if you must know... my name is...."
Geoff paused for a second... did he really want to give his name out? He was still on his search for his missing mother, and who knows who could be listening. He did hear that there was a dark, criminal underside to the island, though he discounted that as just a rumor... but still... He had to come up with something, fast.
Putting his hands on his hip, puffing up his chest, striking a confident pose and with a proud demeanor he continued.
"Ha ha! If you wish to know my name, then I shall tell you! In some circles, I am known as The Great Gonzales.... the 3rd! Champion of the Glitz Pit! Successor to the mighty Great Gonzales and his student, The Great Gonzales Jr., I have triumphed over many a foe! Many have come at me, and many have fallen!"
The two felines just stared at the yoshi in silence as he smirked triumphantly.
"Dude, save the theatrics for the ring...." Munks replied dryly.
Geoff nearly stumbled over himself, the bravado he once had now deflating like a balloon. "W-what?"
"Look, if you didn't wanna say, just say so." Ereki replied. "We'll find out when the tournament starts anyways."
"R-right." Geoff replied, a slight flush of red on his cheeks from embarrassment. He cursed inwardly as he watched two felines walked back to the city, laughing to themselves about the show Geoff had put on.
Nevertheless, the yoshi was sure about one thing. He was going to enter the tournament, and he was gonna prove himself.
