Amalia found herself still breathless when Kaa settled upon a branch that was covered by leaves below, out of sight of any of Yugo or the Brotherhood of the Tofu. Shutting her lips, she attempted to hold her breath, what little there was, while the coils gripped her harder and harder.
Amalia's mind knew that all it'd take was for Yugo to warp right over Kaa's head and stomp him out or for Eva to shoot his eye out with precise Cra archery. But she could feel her body wracked with fatigue and her lungs begging for fresh air.
Worse still was the look Kaa was giving her. The looks of a predator that had already won yet wanted their prey to stew in their imminent death. As a princess, it wounded Amalia's ego to become nourishment for such a beast and eventually... fertilizer for the Earth.
