Mordy passed away last night.. ;___; I already miss him a lot.. I know he's a fish and they some might think it stupid to mourn one, but he was my only pet and I loved him for the year or so that i had him. He developed dropsy and I didn't get him the medicine in time to reverse the effects...
Mordy always swam to the front of the tank whenever i waved at him or came close. He wouldn't shy away from my hand whenever I had to stick it in there to move a plant or take out snails. He blew little bubbles nests and didn't flair his gills at me. *sigh* I'll miss my little guy.

Aw...i'm really sorry to here that...I just lost my one eyed betta Zuko as well...
p_q if it makes you feel any better at all...medication really would not have reversed the effects of dropsy...so not getting it to him in time would not have made a difference.
And it's not silly to mourn a fish p_q I cried for my first betta Vincent many years ago and I miss Zuko just as much

Aww, poor Betta. Fitting name though hehe..
I heard many different stories of medicine working and some people took a more drastic measure to actually use a needle to suck out the fluid in his belly. I wasn't so keen on the idea of possibly making it worse by doing something like that to my fish..
This is my first betta, and I love him a lot and his quirky antics.. ;__; Sorry for your loss of Zuko..

Awww. Wow.. what kind of fish was it?
We had a fish that lived pretty long one time, it was a pleco, algae eater. He was a really big one and lived for about 8-9 years. I think he just got old because he didn't show any signs of sickness.
I hope he didn't suffer that long.. He didn't look stressed until the last few days...
