I like Mr. Murray taking the most sensible approach in this, but then again, he IS principal and his opinion do weight in.
Also, I have seen several group-projects over time being ruined or only half finished due to group-members not caring or not doing their parts. Morale is, it IS a group project, so if the group does not function, take it up with the teacher... preferedly before presentation.

Yeah this whole thing was based on a personal experience I had in school.
We were older, not in kids age anymore, but this one guy did basically what Maya did.
We had a presentation, it was not the best, but okayish.
And then he just took over and did random crap, no one knew anything about. And we didn't know what to do to stop it.
and well the teacher failed us for that.
We didn't take it to the pricipal. But essentially he was older than the others in class, and he created a real company. And tried to advertise for it in school, and even gave hand outs for the teachers lounge and what not. I dont know what happened exactly, but eventually he was expelled.
Sadly didn't fix our bad grade, we got. But well... a lesson was learned regardless.
And I never liked group projects. At work, its fine, people are mature, and paid to do stuff
in school. Its a nusanse, the smart kids do the job while others dont do shit.

Meh, even at Engineering College we had people doing that, suddenly not caring for working on projects you were supposed to be two or more at to actually finish properly. I had a friend who had to work almost around the clock because his partner did that, and only with a lot of help from the teacher, who knew his predicment was not his fault, did he managed to finish it enough to pass...
