The northern mountains are a dangerous place, perpetually covered in ice and snow. Even the most experienced trainers can get lost and freeze. However, in one region, reports strange incidents have started to emerge of people going missing for a few days before returning unharmed, but missing their memories of what happened in that time. The last thing they remembered was finding a frozen lake while it was snowing heavilly, along with a faint image of a strange pokemon, but they couldn’t make it out. Unfortunately though, this only led to more trainers going out in search of the pokemon, many of them lacking in experience and just looking for a rare pokemon, leading to more of these incidents, creating a feedback loop. Eventually, the situation caught the attention of officials, who closed down the area and sent more experienced trainers out to find the source of the incidents to prevent people from getting hurt attempting it themselves. One of these individuals was Farley, who has gotten a reputation for finding strange pokemon like this. Scouting out the area, it didn’t take long for him to find the frozen lake. Unfortunately, it wasn’t snowing, so nothing happened. With the help of his fire type friends, he set up camp to wait for snow to fall. It wasn’t a long wait, as that night the temperature dropped quickly as it began to snow. Soon after, they saw a figure emerging from the ice of the lake. At first, they thought it was a milotic, but as it approached, they saw features of a froslass, making it clear it was a fusion. The pokemon was surprised to see them though, most of those she has seen being lost travelers or people who have immediately tried to catch her. She introduced herself as Khione, and explained that she had lived within the lake for years, doing what she could to help those lost in storms back to safety, occasionally keeping the weaker ones in a nearby cave to recover before bringing them back down the mountain. However, she had seen an increase in inexperienced people coming by, requiring her to intervene to save them more often. The group explained what had happened, how rumors of her had spread, bringing in more people exploring the mountains in hopes of finding her. Khione was shocked that she was the cause of trainers putting themselves in danger, even if indirectly. After some brainstorming ideas of how to fix this, the group eventually came to the decision that she would come with them down the mountain to explain what happened, and show that the strange pokemon had been found, thus removing the mystery along with the reason for newer adventurers to traverse the mountain. Afterwards, Khione was grateful to the group for their help, and wanted to go with them in order to repay them, to which the group welcomed
