The thought bubbles contain a few references to existing episodes: Larry's death is a callback to Broadway Brodown, Skyler is a callback to Cat Orgy, and Shelley vaping is a callback to Tegridy Farms, that is, the farm's debut episode.
Sharon's design is taken from the younger version of her we see in Stan's flashback in Stanley's Cup. I find it strange that we don't see a younger version of Shelley in that flashback. Maybe the animators weren't willing to create that extra model.
