Time for another illustration, and this one jumps way back near the beginning of the fic!
So while he is recovering from the injuries dealt by the Wuxi Finger Hold and his battle with Po, Tai Lung is being held in a chamber under the Jade Palace. Tigress takes it upon herself to confront the snow leopard--partly to taunt him over being such a failure, partly to lash out at him for what he did to Shifu's life and her own, and partly to let him know she'll be watching closely and ready to take decisive, fatal actions if the other cat turns on the Jade Palace again. But not only is Tai Lung able to weather all she throws at him, prove her wrong by showing other sides to himself and his motives, and even rebut a number of her points, she finds herself seeing him in another light...one she doesn't like at all. It'll be a long road to get them to being the happy couple they are by the end, but here is where it starts--and as always, Tai Lung is absolutely determined to claim his heart's desire, whatever it takes. Though even he'll be surprised what that all entails!
