Though she was born a slave, Zahra used her power to pull herself up out of her wretched life in her former House and rise to greatness as a career fighter in House Safak. The story of her rise and the nature of her power drew the attention of High Daughter Mitra, who found Zahra and recruited her to be an Eye of Serapis. From there, Zahra started living a double life: Fighting for glory in public, and secretly taking out heretics and threats to Serapeum as a member of the Goddess's secret police.

Zahra's power causes observers to forget where she is, and completely hides her from anyone who wasn't already aware of her. Aside of its use for stealth, she uses her power to take her opponents by surprise, ruining their plans to attack while striking unpredictable blows.
