Let's be real here; every single person that's ever been in a warehouse for more than 10 minutes or even just within 50ft of a pallet jack for the same amount of time has done this. I personally got pretty good at steering at high speeds. Just gotta remember to counter-balance in the turns.
I used to work midnight shift at my old defense contract job as a maintenance tech. There was just myself and three other techs in the entire ~20k sq ft building on that mid shift, so we basically had the run of the place. Following the adage of "if it ain't broke don't fix it", we generally had a lot of down time, so it was either watch youtube all night, sleep until about half an hour before people starting showing up for work, or otherwise entertain ourselves (which is a dangerous thing to say to a handful of bored and very inventive electronics technicians/engineers with free access to lots of spare electronics components and soldering equipment). We kept a couple of pallet jacks around for moving large training systems. So yeah, I got in plenty of practice up and down the long hallways, lol.
