Here is the cover for Across Thin Ice, Book One of the Nordguard graphic novel trilogy.
I can't believe I'm typing this, but...As of posting this, there's only 7 signed copies of the hardcover edition still available for pre-order! :]
(More info on the pre-order here!)
==Scratch that, looks like all the hardcover preorders have been sold!==
There will also be 200 or so hardcover copies, which are not part of the pre-orders, that will be available at Anthrocon, and ComicCon, while supplies last. Those will be sold first come, first serve, so if you miss out on the hardcover pre-orders and are attending AC, you still stand a good chance of getting one! (There will be plenty of softcover copies, this is just if you're interested in getting one of the first-edition hardcovers.)
And, last reminder, the softcover copies for $19.95 will first debut at AnthroCon, and go for sale online July 1st 2011, from Sofawolf Press's site, here!

its funny how paws are in my mind 24/7, your logo,(a paw) was on the leg of the fellow in the background, and i actually thought he was barefoot, and walking forward and the sole of his paw was in view (it looked this way from the thumbnail) when i made it big i realized it wasn't like that. haha.
breathtaking work as always, no wonder you're number one.

Love how loosely rendered the clouds are in contrast with the tightness of the figures. It creates a great sense of action and suspense. Wonderful, intriguing cover.
Best wishes to you both. You so deserve this!! I am excited for you.
(and thank you for including caribou :))

Awww i was looking at this on Sofawolf press! Pi looks so Bad ass in this picture!
This is totally becoming my epicly new desktop background.
Expect more Pi fan art, and possibly a doodle of the encounter of the deadly Akita,Pirat, ninja, ice water scuba diver I still have that image loged im my brain from that Live stream ages back.

I must admit that I am surprised they don't! Artists like
strype and
zaush charge 'real' amounts (i.e. at least a few hundred pounds [or dollars I guess] per picture), and I think Blotch is the most popular account on FA! I guess they have been extremely busy working on comics to do many private commissions as Blotch.

Grrrr! I hate where I live because I can't get anything shipped to here! If I wasn't living in Cuba, I would so pre-order one. Ugh....But sadly I can't.
I hate FPO addresses.
And if I may ask, if I were to buy a normal copy, and I find you guys, can I get it signed? :3

Blotch.... Words can not describe your talent with the pen, brush, and other devices for beauty. It's unreal how good you really are.... Thank you for bestowing us your talent for our pleasure. I only wish I could write for you, the honor would be beyond amazing. Again I thank you for your talent. God speed you magnificent cat, god speed.
Very Nice, tough I had always figured that This: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2364602/
would be the cover, though it makes sense since Nickle isn't the main character and Pi is.
Anyway, can't wait to read it!

You know, having said that, now I've got this idea of Pi doing a "Dirty Harry" impersonation, saying that famous movie quote to the wounded bad guy: You got to ask yourself one question, "Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya punk?
Lol... course, Pi wouldn't know who Clint Eastwood is but it's still a funny thought. XD

Soooooo glad I jumped on in therapy morn lol and I can't wait for it x3
I have a question though, and one that I don't know if you'll have the answer to: I ordered mine and asked that it be sent to me because I don't know if I'll go to ac this year, probably won't again in fact ;.; BUT, if the fates should smile on me and let me go, could I change my order somehow to pick up? Or still have to wait? Just curious...
Wonderful work, you should be a cornucopia of pride <3

That's not really for Blotch to answer, but for the Sofawolf people.
Personally, I'd suggest waiting until you know for sure whether you'll be going or not, then heading over to http://sofawolf.com/ to ask. It can be that the transaction's already processed and they can't reverse it, but if it's feasible to sort it out for you then they probably will. They're nice guys.

I'm so ordering this.
But I have a question: I want to put some of the pictures you posted on scans_daily, a comic-lovers web-blog to get the word out about the wonderful art.
Would this be OK? I'll only post the scans that you made public on your FA account, if that's all right.

Here's the link to the post; you can view what the people say about the comments as well. Here's hoping this may get some interest.
One quick question: do you know if I can get this at the upcoming Califur convention in June? If not, should I still pre-order from Sofawolf even though they sold out of the hard-covers?

I have the same problem with my roommate, though recently I've stopped caring if he knows I'm a furry. It helps that I found a close friend who is not only a furry, but is also publishing stuff through Sofawolf.
In any case, I had the same fear, my first furry publications I ordered I had my friend order for me, so i didn't have to explain the package to my roommate. Since then, I've just kept the stuff in my room.
Not knowing your situation I can't suggest anything in particular, but if nothing else, have an understanding friend order the stuff for you, then if you feel the need to hide things in your room or whatever, you can do so. Or, just order some other packages at the same time and just say they were all parts of the same order. Your parents shouldn't be opening your mail anyways, not if you're over 18!
All I can say is go for it, I'm going to be trying to pick up a copy of this when I go to AC this year myself, and I must admit, finally purchasing furry literature is very liberating for me.
This is already pretty long for a comment, so if you need more thoughts feel free to send me a note or something. :)
Looking forward to picking this up at AC this year though myself.

God you're lucky. AC looks so fun. And I'm only 16 and it like doesn't feel right reading it online illegally where someone just posted the whole thing. I mean out of desperate measures I read half of Dogs Days on the website for free and I had to desperately know what happened in the end and I couldn't wait two years to find out so I found some sight with the comic posted and I feel kind of bad because I respect Blotch too much to do that. That's why I want to make the purchase but i can't. :(
You can order a copy from Sofawolf Press--right here! :]
(And here's a site that lists just about every other way to get one!)

I want to say these points, not to be divisive or to rally hatred against me, but I feel like it is so good it's bad. Hear me out on this one, please.
It is fantastic artwork in terms of the anatomy, the shading, colouring, lines and textures, but I think the realism gets me. Maybe I'm being a philistine?
It is incredibly realistic, the artwork you two produe, but have you heard of the Uncanny Valley principle? I think that sort of thing is happening to me. That priniciple basically states that people will only believe in and trust robots to do things so long as they definitively look like robots.
It's the fact that, barring advances in genetic engineering in the future, furries are a fantasy thing by nature- they are animals that have human shapes, hence 'anthropo' for 'human' and 'morph' for 'shape'.
I'm not saying you have to do your work in brightly-coloured felt-tip pens or make it look like a Saturday morning cartoon, but it's just the realism....
..... It is the fact that there is so much realism and real-world detail in your pictures of creatures that are purely fantasy that it sort of conflicts inside my mind, you understand? The detail means I find it hard to suspend any possible disbelief that it's fantasy, because it seems so real. You draw a dog realistically, fine. You draw a human realistically, that's also fine- they are real-world things. When you combine them and draw something realistically that isn't real, such as a dog furry, then I find it like trying to combine fried chicken and ice cream, metaphorically speaking.
I hope you can understand what I mean, I sincerely hope you can, because I did not have any malicious intent when typing this, and I wasn't trying to be a fly in your ointment.
Maybe my first sentence was wrong....maybe this stuff isn't to my taste? I really don't think you are bad artists at all, and I wouldn't have favourited some of your stuff if I didn't like it, but something about it doesn't quite agree with me- it's like there's a nagging feeling in my mind....
If you take notice of this, then thank you. I only seek to offer my views and hope it enriches the discussion. Thank you
