Evalia returns to a space set aside for her to use, at the minor annoyance of her host.
I wrote this some time back and have been noodling at it in small places, but life happened and I lost track of it. A few weeks ago I realized I never posted this and decided... might as well share. For now this is the last planned "epilogue" or "side part" of Evalia's Tale, as I don't know how much more creative juice I have for it.

I rather like this five-page microfiction, Kereminde; well-narrated, frugal in length but not short on description or the contextual shape of Evalia's personality, her practicality when it comes to immense, inherent power and what that mightiness means in a novel place wherein you can neither ask of your new neighbours the immediate agreed rules nor directions in passing, if you care enough to take it.
The shadowvixen's merited reckon and reasonable warning to Xecheq that there are far more beings with a lot more oomph, who'll arrive on a short delay line and not care a scrap or consider for a fraction of a moment how impressive their arrival and passage is, nor what purpose and worth- or lack of it- their far less impressive hosts mean to them, I imagine is the chicken to the fox-woman's egg of ennui.
I suspect Evalia's made a titaness' effort in precedence of the inevitable stormbreak before, and failed as many times, plus one: the first time she didn't attempt to explain the Eschatonian novelty on the way and merely acted, since she could end up being the sole modum that could make a difference, if personal warning was worthless. I consider upon reflection that Evalia may know a little more about what's going on, as to why greater beings show up after she or others like her do. That's just another way of defining paranoia, but a paranoia that's healthy....for a while. We do try, don't we?
"Even in the face of armageddon, I shall not compromise." Walter Kovacs, in that sense, was an optimist as well as a realist. Frankly, I agree with him- and if Eva thinks that way, with her as well- and I can at least take comfort in that. Good show, Kereminde; I adore your novel microtale of an occasional macrofoxen!

PS: The dracovixen in reference is :userarilin:'s Serrano, I believe, but if I'm wrong I'd appreciate your correction, or Ari's if she stops in to look.

Well, two things...
First: It's a big ask, but the "Evalia's Tale" this is a portion of covers almost everything of note up to this point. (Anything else which may or may not have happened, is of a more private nature between the shadowvixen and others.) The warning about "I'm not the worst that could happen" is quite true if you remember the world she's talking about a link to is basically FurryMUCK.
Second... the dracovixen is the incredible, terrifying, unique
