Welcome back to another Gun Day Sunday! I'm still in the honeymoon phase of having a new gun. This 5.56 AKSU is so fun to hold. I wish I everyone could feel the happiness I feel when holding it.

I love how I can feel the amount of happiest you have of holding it through, not a real life picture, but a drawing of your sona holding it. That's impressive.
Minus the stock, because for my shoulders I'd probably find it very uncomfortable and I thinking it's effecting my opinion, I'm looking at the build you made for it, and the more I do the more I'm liking how it just looks in general, it looks awesome.
Also "The honeymoon phase"? It might hold truth, jeez, if I can ever get a hold of a CZ Bren (especially with the ambidextrous on folding side charging handle coming in 2026 for the US market) or A VZ 58 be it my "Survival gun build" or just a regular mostly stock build in 7.62, or hay, maybe even if I get myself a Beretta handgun finally, I'd probably be the same way.
But even then, I still find the phrase absolute funny in the context of buying a new gun.

Yeah, the brace is not as comfy as a true buttstock. I have it configured as a pistol for legal reasons sadly. I do not recall where I heard it first, but honeymoon phase is just what I refer to the feeling of getting a new gun. It's all I can think of to grab for, it's all I want to shoot, and I hold in my hands just to observe all of the details. Yup! Honeymoon. LOL
