Due to the amount of time it's taking me to get any progress on this piece, I thought I'd upload a part of it.

This is a close-up of a friend's fursona Aluka. This is obviously before coloring has taken place.

I'm attempting some new techniques for this piece. including shading prior to coloring. I've found that this greatly helps me with the lighting.

I've been thinking of trying a few new moves with watercolors as well. This piece will certainly have watercolor in it, whether or not I use these new techniques with it is still up in the air.

With all these new techniques, I'm taking this one really slowly. I've still got to work on Cortess' pose, he's been giving me some trouble.

Again, this is a close-up of the concept sketch of the piece. The final piece will be drawn on bristol paper, but this is what Aluka will look like.
