It might seem like a pounce, but wings open it very likely is a takeoff, if Irene misses her prey that is. You never know. One might be shocked into inaction seeing a big blue gryphoness lunging at them and others still might run in fear. She means no harm though, unless you are a deer or a smaller snack.
