Don't know what FA uses to scale its images, but that's a pretty visible contrast/compare of how abusive it can be.
I DO know that some folks re-upload the image somehow to a prior post which lets them break FA's scaling thingy, which is how some people can put up comic strips one column wide and 6000 pixels high. You might want to see if you can find out how that works, since if you can force FA to upload it to its original exact size it shouldn't do any dithering/twiddling of pixels.

Mmf! o3o I liked the sketch, but something between those eyes and that peculiar texture to her hide on her breasts and face... is mesmerizing! Looking at it, I almost want to think that it looks like some artificial material, but in the end, it just reinforces how unique and starkly anti-mammalian a scaley's "skin" can be :3 This kitty approves! ^.^
Seeing the finished product only validates the points I made in that stream; your coloring leading to softness/hardness differences helps add a lovely contrast that overall makes the pic work, rather than look funky. It's amazing to see you make a picture come to life like that.
