Written for
kickahaota, who initially requested a story that used the same setting as Four in the Morning. After some hurdles, it was worked out that I would use 'the Dreaming' instead. The Dreaming is a fae world that I've been kicking around for a while, and one that will probably appear in some of my later stories as well. So in addition to a fun little story about trickster's being tricked, consider In the Maiden's Name to be a small preview of things to come.

That was amazing!!!!!!!!!!! I love how you were able to show his gradual change from a real coyote to nothing but a house pet before finally realizing what Maiden was really doing to him. And the way he was able to reveal her for what she really was was just classic! You sir, have a real gift.
