I tend to attribute colours and themes and animals to my OCs. For Hermance, it's cold blue / greyish colours and snakes. People nickname him "the snake" because of his very mischievous manipulative behaviour :3

For example, he's very good at acting all nice and charming and will do if he can get something out of you. You can genuinely think is a good person, very attentive and interested in you (which is probably true if he spends time with you). And one day he can suddenly disappear or betray you if it's the best option for him at the moment.
He also loves to cross-dress as he's a very androgynous guy. He will put an act like this and keep doing so for a while if it's convenient for him. And he loves to trick people and making people never know what he's up to. Is he genuinely acting nice? Is he joking? Is he manipulating them? Is he framing them? Will he throw them under the bus at the first occasion? Impossible to know, even for people close to him. The only thing important for Hermance, is himself. The rest is just tools he collects to protect himself and have some "value".
Oh, and I didn't say it in the post : he's a Demon :3 (which explain probably why he's not a very good guy in the end >.<)
