That's all I got. I don't have a guess to what Harley is; need to look over this story's worldbuilding again before I could try to speculate, and I'm not great with sci-fi of any kind, let alone bio-punk.

Part of me wonders what or who Harley might be but then another part says no. Let some things remain a mystery.

My guess is selfaware bio-computer.

I'm also curious to know who Harley was, but I believe that in the end it doesn't matter. After all, that's the main point of this story, what you decide to become is more important than who you were or should be!

May some secrets remain secret.

I love the way you do closeups on D's eyes. He's incapable of facial expression, or a lot of emotion in general, but the way you focus on the eyes tells me he desperately wants to express something he can't. Physically or otherwise.

Maybe he wants to tell off Harley, maybe he wants to prove he can break his programing, maybe he's scared of the truth, or maybe he's just waiting for annoying screen man to leave so he can sleep. I love how unreadable D can be, but at the same time express so much through your framing.

My guess is some sort of rogue AI that became self-aware. Kind of like the Synths from Fallout 4, or Sunny the NS5 from the movie I Robot.
