Evrard is a resident of the city of Lapis-Alis. He and his relatives live in a modest house and work in the family carpentry workshop. He is friends with Virginius and Cadell and sometimes hangs out with them during their patrols in town or during their free time outside the military barracks. It was also he who made Virginius' stick.
He was never given the opportunity to choose what he wanted to do with his life and is forced to pursue the same profession as the rest of his family. Furthermore, most people neglect or even denigrate him, starting with his father and his brother-in-law. He tends to hide his distress from others, even his friends, keeping everything to himself.
