The Big Sister of the Knights, the Warrior of the Sun, Elaine the Tigress.
Elaine is one of the strongest knights, if not very close to being the most powerful! She is a sworn defender of the kingdom and its people, always doing what she can to ensure everyone is safe and well. When she isn't on quests or duties, she follows her packed routine. She visits the citizens and offers them gifts or gold to help ease their troubles and help them smile, takes trips to farms to help their crops grow well for the harvest, travels to clinics to heal those who are hurt or ill, and makes sure to greet her companions of the round table. She is a tigress that radiates much positivity and sunlight, bringing joy to many around her. This is because she is a descendant of the legendary knight, Sir Gawain. As a daughter of the knight of the sun, she inherits the power of the glorious star, releasing rays of light from her palms, emitting glowing warmth that heals the body and promotes the growth of plant life, scorching those that dare bring harm to anyone, and much more. Her trusty weapon, a curvy flamberge, does its job well striking down foes and making use of her power to increase its strength and release slashes of the blazing sun, She does all she can to live up to her family name.
Sir Gawain, her ancestor, was a true knight of legend. He stood as a proud defender of the kingdom. He is recognized for his compassion, care, and acts of saving those in danger. Many couldn't ever come close to his strength and efforts...except for one, Lancelot. He and the lance-wielding hero would develop a close friendship, working together and always having each other's back. They shared their love for the kingdom and protecting its people. He envisioned a bright future for both of them... but it would only be a dream. Gawain would find two of his fellow knights discussing a secret that would tarnish his friend's name and insist they do not speak of it. They did not heed his words and exposed an affair that would shake the King to his core, who vowed to punish him. The king had his queen tied up and set to burn at the stake for falling in love with the knight. King Arthur ordered his knights to be on guard, but Gawain refused to join. He prayed no one would suffer but instead...he would hear and then see those that were slain. His care turned to hatred and swore to bring Lancelot to justice. He would then find his former friend and challenge him to a duel... that would cost him his life. He would lay there, weakened as Lancelot held him. His friend shed tears and apologized for what he had done and Gawain would caress his cheek, telling him he forgave him and didn't truly hate him, his anger for his fallen brethren had consumed in that moment. He told his friend to go and watched him shakily leave as he passed with a smile.
Despite what had happened, the Gawain family refused to harbor disgust for those in the Lancelot family. Instead, they welcomed and helped them regain their reputation amongst the people as the kingdom rebuilt itself. Every child of Gawain stood together with a child of Lancelot, both serving together to protect the people and the kingdom while taking care of each other. The same went for Elaine and Luthera as the two held a sisterly bond. Whenever the lioness struggled against a very furious foe, the tigress assisted her. If she ever was ridiculed by a citizen or a knight, Elaine was there to shame those who mocked her. Even if she was a bit down, the sun knight was there to brighten her day. She did what she could for Luthera, much as she did for her. The only trouble was when the current Arthur, who still bore some ill will towards Luthera. There wasn't much she could do besides persuade the king but he did not care. The most she could do was cheer the lioness up, but it wouldn't do much as she held disgust for him.
When the day came when Luthera fled the kingdom to serve someone else, she did not blame. The current king wasn't much better as he neglected many of the people in favor of parties, self-pleasure, and improving his castle and walls. It's why she had put so much effort into the citizens, even if it left her exhausted and little gold afterward. After that day, part of her wonders if she should stay... or go out and assist those beyond the region. After all, she would meet outsiders who deal with similar dangers, some that sound rather familiar as someone who attempted to take Avalon for themselves. Maybe it is time she went out and brought the same joy and comfort to everyone else!
